Hamadagama Yunomi Teacup – Rhythm in Black and White
Ramassage actuellement indisponible
A ceramic yunomi teacup from Hamadagama, a pottery studio in Mashiko, Japan, founded by renowned ceramic artist Shoji Hamada. Traditionally used for serving Japanese tea, this everyday teacup is also lovely for enjoying coffee or other drinks throughout the day.
The natural, earthy surface of the yakishime pottery is accented with black and white glaze, creating a rhythmic pattern of raised, substantial details. The thicker decoration adds texture and character to the cup, giving the simple design a lovely sense of movement. Hamadagama’s pottery reflects the techniques and traditions passed down through generations of the Hamada family.
